Cad Cam Automotive and China Red Sun Group are delighted to announce a strategic partnership that is part of a £300 Million investment, a world beating new facility and the creation of up to 1000 new jobs in Coventry United Kingdom, and Nanjing People’s Republic of China.
China Red Sun group was founded in 1989 by Mr. YANG Shouhai, and is made up of 68 separate enterprises working within life sciences, agriculture, energy conservation and environmental protection. Today Red Sun Group is one of Chinas top 100 leading enterprises, with over 10,000 employees and current sales of £3.5 billion dollars.
Cad Cam Automotive is based in Holbrook Coventry, a site that has been at the centre of automotive innovation for well over 100 years, and has been involved in the development of some of the world’s most iconic vehicles including the Jet powered ‘Bluebird’ land speed record car. Current customers include Jaguar Land Rover, Aston Martin, and Bentley, current specialities are focussed around the development and production of light weight vehicle body structures.
The Mission for this partnership is the creation of a ‘New Energy’ Automotive product range utilising the best of British design and engineering expertise, backed by the world’s largest automotive market.
As well as a new automotive product range, this partnership will see the creation of two future Automotive Technology Research and Development centres in Coventry and Nanjing that will work closely together in support of new product development for global customers. This support will be a true turnkey capability, from research, definition, through concept, prototype, to production. Single source Design, Engineering and Manufacturing.
The New Coventry R+D centre will include a high technology manufacturing facility, with the clear aim of providing specialist and contract vehicle assembly services to OEM customers. The ultimate combined goal is to be a Global 500 enterprise, and a key player in the future of the automotive and wider transport sector. This will be achieved through new technology, with minimal environmental impact, and innovative ‘cloud’ sales, marketing, and distribution platforms.
